Jacqueline & Michael's Wedding Pictures

Hi there,

I have been on a mini sabbatical, whew after Jackie & Mike's wedding, I needed the rest LOL!

It turned out great. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was lots of fun. All the work was worth it. Here are a few pictures we took ourselves. They look so happy:)

Well it's getting late and I have to get to bed. Take care everyone.

HAPPY 1ST DAY OF FALL

Hi all,

Well, Summer is over and I'm back to work. Lots of things are happening, my daughter Jacqueline just got married last Saturday! It turned out beautiful, thank GOD :)

My eldest daughter, Nicole also had a beautiful wedding last year and now our son Michael popped the question to his girlfriend, Laura (who said yes) and so they will be getting married next June! Whew.... that'll be it for us. Next will be more grandchildren :) What a blessing they are!

BUT, now I have more time for ART. I enrolled in an on-line art class with SuziBlu and will be able to begin. Luckily it's a go-at-your-own pace type of class. It's 8 weeks long and she has videos with instructions, plus more.

Cyndi the owner of Santa Clarita Craft Lab ( http://www.santaclaritacraftlab.com/ ) told me about this on-line class. She is also offering alot of new ways to teach classes, so stay tuned for her latest and greatest workshops and classes. Check out her website. If you enjoy arts and crafts, sewing or just want to relax and discover talents you thought you never had, try her craft lab out! She's also introducing more children's classes.

Well, have a wonderful day. Life can be wonderful :) Helen

Shake, Rattle & Roll

Hi everyone, It's been awhile since I've blogged. I've been really really busy.

Just a couple of hours ago we had an earthquake - centered in Chino. Looks like my hubby will be working late tonight. He works for the Gas Company. We'll see.....

My daughter Jackie is getting married in September and between working, babysitting and preparing for the wedding, I've had to put crafting on the backburner :( Though, I'll get back into the stitch-of-things after my daughter's big day:)

BUT, Santa Clarita Craft Lab has been plugging along. Cyndi (owner) has been working hard at adding to her website, crafting & having fun! She will be offering classes on Mexican Pop Art.

So check out her blog page and website. www.santaclaritacraftlab.com

Got to go now. Take care all of you out in Chino!

Hi All

It's been a while since I've blogged. I have been pretty busy with work, and preparing for my grandson Mikie's birthday party, my daughter's wedding, checking out new magazines with great craft projects, on and on and on..... So once I have a minute, I will download new pictures to share with you all :)

I just checked out Cyndi's SCCL Blog site and she has pictures of her finished portrait window house. It came out sooooo cute, great job! She also has pictures of the YoYo project I will be teaching this Saturday. If you're interested, give her a call and sign up!

This pass Saturday, we attended my cousin's wedding. She and her, now husband, are police officers and the car they used was an old cop car, really cool. When they drove up to the reception, the siren was so loud you could hear them from miles away, ha ha ha. Here are pictures of them. So happy:)

Blog again soon, have a wonderful day. Helen

FRIDAY - Yeah

I am on my lunch break and half of my work day is over. I am looking forward to the Bike ride we and others are going on this coming Sunday. The group is growing...... I hope it's not going to be too hot - Mike and I ride with full gear.

I was looking thru my books and found the cutest pin cushion and pillow. I am making the pillow for friends of ours as a house warming gift. They just moved into their new home..... I will display once I finish the projects. Right now I am really into pin cushions for some reason, so every time I see a new one, I want to make it.

Well, I hope you all have a great / safe weekend.

Blog to you soon. Helen

Hump Day Wednesday!

It's Wednesday - 2 more days until the weekend. I'm looking forward to this weekend. I am finishing up a baby quilt for a baby shower I am going to on Saturday, all I have to do is finish the label. It came out pretty cute, my grandson Mikie wanted to keep it, so I had to hide it. On Sunday Mike and I are going riding with some friends along the coast. We will stop off somewhere along the way and have breakfast. Sounds like fun:)

This is a picture from last Sunday's mock class "Portrait Window House" that I taught the girls. The wimzical house is Cyndi's and the vintage one is Mayra's. They are both beautiful. Good job girls! I will be teaching the Portrait Window class in August, so save this link to your favorites! After I taught my class, Mayra taught a class called "Blockheads". Here's her blogspot so check out her blockhead creation. http://www.whimsyamelie.blogspot.com/ It was a lot of fun. I'll have to post my "blockhead" once I download it to my computer.

Don't forget to check out the class schedule for some great classes. http://www.santaclaritacraftlab.com/

Well, it's time for me to hit the hay, since I have to get up at 4 AM to get ready for work.

Good night.
